Body Position Deep Water Start How to get Air! Surface 360 Front Surface 360 Back Side Slide Surface 180

360 degree turn starting in the forward position

By this point you should be able to complete the surface 360 back to back and now be ready to move on to this, the surface 360 front to front which includes a handle pass.

The initiation to this trick is very similar to the back to back. You need to pull in and turn your head; hard in the direction you want to turn. When you start to rotate and the handle is close to your body, you need to release one hand from the handle; the left hand if you are turning to the left and the right hand to the right. When you are approaching the back position you should be working on pushing the handle into the small of your back. This means when you reach round with your spare hand to grab the handle you will know where it is. While facing backwards you should grab hold of the handle with your spare hand and let go of the handle with the other hand. This will pull you round to the forward position again. You must try to get your free hand round your body and back onto the handle as soon as possible. Make sure you keep the handle as close to your body as you can so it is easier to reach with your spare hand. Be ready for a pull on the handle when you come to face the front; if you have managed to get both hands onto the handle you should be able to absorb it.

You must make the board move round continuously without pausing at the back when you pass the handle.

Once you can do the front to front in one direction make sure you move on to do it in the other direction.
