This is slightly harder than the wake back because you can't see the
top of the wake coming. Before doing this trick it would be a good idea
to practise some surface 180's. As with the wake back you do not need a
lot of speed into the wake to do this trick. Cut out to the side of the
boat and as you start drifting in, begin your cut in towards the wake.
Just before you reach the dip before the wake pull in with your hands
and look over your shoulder to turn backwards. Hold the handle into your
hip to hold your position into the wake (If you have the wake on your
right side when cutting in then look over your left shoulder, for the
other side do the opposite.) As you hit the wake push down with your
knees to get lift. Once in the air the boat will pull you round to the
forward position ready to land.
Problem : I have turned to the forward position before I hit the
wake.
Solution : Initiate your turn to the back a little later.
Problem : The front of the board digs in as I land.
Solution : Keep your shoulders further back when you come to the
front and don't pull hard on the handle, let the boat pull you round.
Problem : I hit the wake in a side slide position.
Solution : Start the turn earlier.
